| Abstract: | This book, apparently, contains one story that was told by the 16th Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje regarding a previous life of his and 10 stories attributed to the 15th Karmapa Khakyab Dorje regarding previous lives. The stories are, admittedly, quite fantastical. I will not shy away from saying that. But regardless, the overall experience (to me) is one of inspiration and deep meaning. In the dedication, it is said that the 16th Karmapa (at the time of telling the story of Dzalendara) made the wish that it may be the cause for reaching Buddhahood for all those who read it - for those who feel faith and devotion as well as for those who feel dislike or disbelief. |
